  • Design Technology – Students will explore the creative, engineering and manufacturing industries, as well as the importance of high quality technology and design. This specification provides them with a core of knowledge in the following key areas before they choose to specialise in one:
    1. Electronic and microelectronic control systems.
    2. Mechanical and pneumatic control systems.
    3. Product design.
  • Food Technology – Students would learn about a branch of food science that deals with the production, preservation, quality control and research and development of food products.
  • Information Technology – As humans, we have always been storing, retrieving, manipulating, and communicating information in different ways. If you are interested in data and technology, this would be a nice option to learn how to use computers to store, retrieve, transmit, and manipulate data or information.
  • Computer Science – This is a very large subject with lots of applications. Computer scientists design new software, solve computing problems and develop different ways to use technology. Students would develop computational thinking (which involves looking at a problem and working out a way a computer might be able to help them solve it) to study algorithmic processes, computational machines and computation itself.
