What is EK Outreach Services?
EK Outreach Services is a SEND tuition service providing educational support to Local Authorities and Schools across the UK for students with an EHCP.
Our aim is to improve the learning outcomes of children and young people for whom education has been a challenge either through their SEND needs, SEMH needs or other reasons which may have prevented them from fully accessing education.
We provide a bespoke education package for each student, designed to meet the individual needs of those who are currently struggling in the mainstream education system. Our students have opportunities to explore a wide range of accredited courses due to the bespoke nature of our organisation. Our outreach service can be used as a long or short term service, or as a bridging service to help transition students to their next educational setting.
Students may:
- Be waiting for a school place
- Not be attending school or any educational setting
- Be experiencing challenges and difficulties which prevent them from accessing education
- Be awaiting a residential placement
- Have been excluded from school
- Be newly moved into a borough with significant SEND needs which prevents them from going straight into school
- Have come out of the youth justice system
- Have long term illness
- Have behaviour issues
Whatever the reason, we believe everyone has the right to an education. Please get in touch or refer a young person by filling out our referral form.
Building blocks of EKOS curriculum
Believe. Engage. Achieve.
Our unique EKOS curriculum embodies both our values and mission. The four building blocks of EKOS are:
E
Engage and Empower.
Students begin to engage in learning and their curriculum.
K
Knowledge.
Students begin to build on previous knowledge, filling the gaps and expanding their database.
O
Opportunity.
Students use what they have learnt to access opportunities they may not have had before: work experience, community events, examinations and possible transition back into a school setting.
S
Support and Success.
With the support and guidance from our team, students are able to achieve and succeed in acquiring the knowledge needed for their next steps.
Our Key Values
Believe.
We put the needs of our students first, tailoring our teaching to their individual strengths, interests and goals.
Engage.
We build strong relationships with our students, fostering trust, respect and a love of learning, with a focus on a therapeutic approach to students’ development, nurturing their academic, social, emotional and creative skills.
Achieve.
We believe that every child can achieve their goals and together, we set realistic expectations.
