Functional skills level 2 is comparable to GCSE grade 4.

Functional skills English Level 2 equips students with key English and language skills. Using real-life examples to improve their practical skills, test their analytical abilities and help them learn in the most efficient way possible, the Level 2 English will leave them with the confidence to use English in any everyday situation.

Functional skills Maths Level 2 is the equivalent to a GCSE Maths. Many universities are now accepting this qualification instead of a GCSE (we recommend checking with your university of choice). Level 2 Maths will help students to gain all of the skills they will need to use Maths in their day-to-day life.
