The Arts provides important opportunities to develop students’ practical, exploratory, expressive, design and problem-solving skills. They would develop concepts and skills relating to creativity and expression, analysing and interpreting observations and experiences, and the communication of ideas, thoughts and feelings.

  • Art and Design – It develops their understanding of how meanings, ideas and intentions can be communicated through visual and tactile language. They would learn how to use different media and technologies to realise their intentions, develop their understanding of the creative and cultural industries, and refine their work through experimentation.
  •  Music – Do you love music: composing, playing an instrument, listening to music, or using music technology? Then, music specification would be a good idea. It encourages students to develop their musical potential by focusing on performing, composing and listening.
  • Drama – Drama specification motivates and inspires them to build and showcase their competence in a range of creative, practical and performance skills. Both the theoretical and practical elements of the subject help them to become critical thinkers with enquiring minds, confident communicators, and independent learners.
